A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO HEALTHCARE

Tapping into Eastern Medicine Techniques for Healing

Acupuncture has been a staple of Eastern medicine for thousands of years providing an alternative, non-invasive approach to healing.

Our acupuncturist will sit down 1-1 with you to discuss your health concerns, lifestyle, and wellness goals.

As part of a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnosis, this assessment may involve pulse and tongue evaluation, as well as discussions about digestion, sleep patterns, and emotional well-being.

Whether you are experiencing physical symptoms (pain, digestive issues, skin conditions) or looking for a new way to handle emotional stressors (anxiety, PTSD), then acupuncture could be your next step to feeling better.

Meet Our Acupuncturist

Elizabeth Otten is a Licensed Acupuncturist & Eastern Medicine Practitioner with experience working with pediatrics to geriatrics.

METHODS OF TREATMENT

Acupuncture for Relief

This non-invasive approach to treatment can benefit a variety of behavior, physical and emotional issues for all ages.

How It Works

Acupuncture treatment sessions consist of gently inserting fine, sterile needles into precise acupoints on the body to restore the natural flow of energy (qi) throughout your body.

This ancient technique has been proven to reduce pain, improve circulation, and promote holistic healing—enhancing your body’s innate ability to recover and thrive.

Complementary Modalities

In addition to needling, Elizabeth may customize your session to include any of these modalities for maximum benefit for your specific concerns:

→ Craniosacral Therapy
→ Cupping
→ Electrostimulation
→ Gua Sha
→ Infrared/Red Light Therapy
→ Medical Qi Gong
→ Moxibustion (smokeless)
→ Tuina

Who Can Benefit

Acupuncture supports overall well-being for people of all ages by addressing pain, stress, hormonal balance, and digestive health.

Effective for conditions like migraines, anxiety, fertility, injury recovery and IBS, acupuncture offers a holistic approach and enhances other treatments like naturopathic medicine, chiropractic care, and massage therapy.

Children often respond quickly to acupuncture as their bodies have not yet developed chronic patterns of imbalance.

What To Expect

Initial Assessment

The initial appointment allows extra time to review your detailed health history, including past treatments, medical concerns, and current symptoms.

Custom Treatment Plan

Once your practitioner has a clear understanding of your health picture, you’ll receive a treatment plan and schedule tailored to your specific needs.

The Experience

From there, you’ll get comfortable on the massage table, and your session will begin. The entire process usually lasts about 75 minutes for the first session and 60 minutes for successive appointments.
